| | SCRIPT PREVIEW AUTHOR NOTES PRODUCTIONS | | | | | Synopsis | | Living with friendly spirits Max and Lily for 13 years, Lionel and Amelia Nuthatch are experts by experience in the “living with ghosts” phenomena. When Lionel’s article on doppelgangers (a ghostly double of a living person) gets published in Parapsychology Today, Lionel gets fired from his job and Amelia, furious with Lionel, worries that they might lose their happily haunted home. The new spook on the block, Snooks Beacon, a dead musician who had been haunting the Titanic “until some busybody had to find the ship” tells Max and Lily that it’s time to play ghost and help the Nuthatches. In the tradition of Beetlejuice fun, ghostly chaos erupts. While Lionel and hypnotist, Mr. Pinquay, test one of Lionel’s paranormal theories on Amelia’s brother, Snooks gets caught in the middle and Lionel’s hypnosis experiment backfires. Amelia’s brother is now a Shakespeare-reciting primate and Amelia, once again, is furious with Lionel. Snooks quickly retracts his earlier statement about “playing ghost” and helping the Nuthatches, but it’s too late, Max and Lily are having the time of their afterlives meddling in the lives of their human friends.
