Synopsis
In this 2009 McClaren Comedy award-winning play, Tom Lazio, a lonely broker living with his widowed Italian mother, rolls the digital dating dice by logging into the soul-mate-finding website, “LovetoMeetYou.com”. Ellen Cantrell, a fellow broker, though the perfect woman for Tom dives into the e-dating game for a man she’s sure is nothing like her colleague. Honesty on their personal profiles nearly ruins their chances for love, causing best friends and website love gurus to convince them to over-enhance themselves beyond recognition. Tom’s mother, Nellie, meddles in their electronic and real lives throughout the story to keep them even farther apart. However, the story routes these incompatible people across the worldwide web and parks them in an authentic love only an office space apart.
