It is soon revealed that they are both in need of help as well as in need of giving assistance to feel alive and useful. Having done such a good job on her husband’s shoes, Ethel nicknames Fred a Prince’s Cobbler and the two enjoy each other’s company. Fred succumbs after he finds joy and peace with his new friend. A nurse calls to reveal Fred’s last wishes. Ethel has more surprises ahead of her as she learns what her future holds. |
