| | | Laura’s writing interests flourished when she began writing scripts for variety shows, church dramas, and community events in her local town. The popularity of these scripts prompted the school district to ask Laura if she would lead their high school drama department. Laura accepted the challenge. As the high school drama program grew, it became difficult to find scripts with cast sizes large enough to accommodate the growing interests of her students. To solve this problem, Laura wrote her first full length play Mind Boggling. The play’s large cast not only allowed each of her students to have a role, but allowed each actor to have a moment to shine on stage as well. The comedy was embraced by her students and the production was a huge success. Laura’s insight to high school drama shines in her ability to write plays that are easy to produce and fun for both thespian and spectators alike. Laura’s plays are trade marked by clever twist endings that tickle audiences of all ages. | |
